1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you create an account we collect your email address and a hashed password. You may optionally provide a display name. We do not collect your real name, phone number, or payment details through the App.
1.2 Learning Data
The App records your study activity — vocabulary and phrases you add, answer history, review timestamps, and progress statistics — so that it can schedule reviews and sync your data across your devices. This data is stored on our servers and associated with your account.
1.3 Device and Usage Information
We may automatically collect information about the device you use to access the App, including device model, operating-system version, app version, and general usage events (e.g. sessions started, features used). This information is used to diagnose bugs and improve the App.
1.4 Log Data
Our servers automatically record standard log data when you use the App or visit the Site, including your IP address, the date and time of requests, and HTTP status codes. Logs are retained for up to 90 days.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and maintain your account and sync your learning data across devices.
- Provide, operate, and improve the App and Site.
- Diagnose technical problems and ensure security.
- Respond to your support requests.
- Send transactional emails (e.g. account verification, password reset). We do not send marketing emails without your explicit consent.

3. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers: We use third-party infrastructure providers (hosting, cloud storage, email delivery) who process data on our behalf under data-processing agreements and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.

4. Data Retention
We retain your account and learning data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Passwords are stored as salted cryptographic hashes. Data in transit is protected with TLS. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.
You may also delete your own account and learning data directly through the App settings at any time.
8. Third-Party Links
The App or Site may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties and encourage you to read their privacy policies.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective date" at the top of the page indicates when it was last revised. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice in the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
